I have never taken this out of the house and it has not been used for any photoshooting, although I have checked it's functioning. In my opinion the build quality is excellent and it has a lot of variables for adjustment etc.I'm not sure it is heavy enough for the really serious telescopic lenses and cameras used by professionals but it is definitely good for most mirrorless and DSLR cameras.I would however suggest looking at some of the reviews and specs available online if you are serious.There is no box and no instructions but will be securely packaged etc.
